Graphic Design conference.
I was recently asked to speak on creating identity at the Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago's Connect Graphic Design Conference with Margo Chase. This is a huge honor for me because I get to finally meet and hear my idol speak on her journey in creating Chase Design Group.
Connect is a one-day Graphic Design Conference which is produced each spring and fall at The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago. The conference hosts a series of industry speakers who impart information regarding their particular expertise. Each lecture is concluded with follow-up questions by the moderator and attendees. To date, our speakers have discussed issues within: graphic design, typography, photography, web design, marketing, animation, illustration, as well as more applied topics such as "interview nightmares". The purpose of the event is to bring together our student body, alumni, and members of the graphic design community in an idea sharing, socializing and networking event.
